Repertory Dance Theatre of Texas Performing Company (RDTT):
Repertory Dance Theatre of Texas (RDTT) is a 501c non profit performing
dance company based in Carrollt Repertory Dance Theatre of Texas was founded in 1985 under the name of Carrollton Repertory Dance Company, and has grown from a small studio company of eight dancers to a full pre-professional company. The company consists of dancers ages13 through adult from cities around the North Texas area. RDTT also includes an apprentice company of dancers ages 8 through 14. RDTT is governed by a board and supported by an organized guild and is a member of The Dance Council.
RDTT is best known for it’s annual production of “The Night Before
Christmas” presented every December, but also has a
repertoire of modern and jazz pieces. RDTT produced “The Night Before Christmas” was first performed by RDTT in 1991. The company is
sought after for many performances throughout the North Texas area and
has been invited to perform by the State Fair of Texas, Carrollton County
Fair and Arts Fiesta, Las Colinas Canalfest, Montage, Old City Park’s
Candlelight Tour, Scottish Rite Hospital, Plano Cultural Arts Committee, local
Miss America Pageants, The Grand Kempenski Hotel’s Oktoberfest,
“The Nutcracker” in the Malachite Company membership is open to any eligible dancer chosen through auditions held in the Spring of each year. The RDTT Board of Directors is dedicated to a philosophy of civic and sound financial responsibility. We invite your interest, participation, and support. The 16th annual performance of the "The Night Before Christmas" is an enchanting story ballet of "The Night Before Christmas". This ballet has been enjoyed by audiences ages 3 to 93 for the past sixteen years.
