Julia Gilbreath is thrilled to return to DCJ Dance for her second year! A Dallas native, Julia began dancing at just three years old and quickly developed a lifelong passion for the art. Throughout her training, she danced competitively, participated in convention assistant programs, and developed a strong, versatile foundation across a wide variety of dance styles. After high school, Julia continued her dance journey as a member of Sam Houston State University's nationally recognized 15-time UDA National Champion dance team. Her extensive training and performance experience have shaped her into an energetic, knowledgeable, and encouraging educator. Now in her fifth year of teaching, Julia is passionate about sharing her love of dance with the next generation. She strives to help every dancer build confidence, strengthen their technique, discover their individual artistry, and feel proud of their progress. Julia loves creating a positive and inspiring classroom where dancers feel supported, challenged, and excited to work toward their dreams. She is grateful to be part of the DCJ family and cannot wait for another wonderful year with her students!

Hayley Grimes is a dance artist, choreographer, and educator who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University. Her training includes contemporary, contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, and a hint of ballet. Hayley has performed throughout Texas in university, festival, and professional settings and is currently a member of Zion Dance Project, where she performs contemporary and contemporary ballet repertory and continues to grow as an artist through collaboration and movement research.
As an educator, Hayley believes dance is a powerful form of self-expression and a space for students to develop not only their technique, but also their confidence, creativity, and individuality. She strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where dancers feel encouraged to take risks, discover their own artistic voice, and grow at their own pace. Hayley believes strong technical foundations provide dancers with the tools to explore artistry and creativity, while the experiences gained through dance can build discipline, resilience, teamwork, and confidence that extend far beyond the studio. Hayley is passionate about helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for movement and the arts and is so excited to continue her second year at DCJ Dance! |
